Warr Acres requires a city license for all dogs and cats in the City. The cost is $5.00 for a new license and $2.50 for a renewal. Licenses are due for renewal on an annual basis. This license may be obtained at the Police Department and requires certification of rabies vaccination by a licensed veterinarian within the last twelve months. The license assists the animal control officer in returning animals to their owners if they happen to get out of the house or yard. Animals found without a license may be impounded and owners subjected to impound fees.
