Animal Control Officer

The Warr Acres Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Animal Control Officer. Salary rage is $29,495.00 – $41,980.00.

The job of the Warr Acres ACO consists of assisting with all aspects of Animal Safety and Control. The ability to enforce applicable state laws and city ordinances pertaining to animal control and safety; ensure that complaints are handled efficiently and effectively; and ensure the protection and safety of animals and people in the city of Warr Acres. Animal Control Officers are required to work varied schedule which may include working weekends, holidays, and evenings as directed; response to afterhours emergency calls will be required, and heavy lifting may be needed.

Must be 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. No criminal convictions and must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with clean driving record, and the ability to complete the Animal Control Officer Academy training.
